Terms of service

Effective September 2026. These terms are between you and Vembar LLC ("we", "us"), the operator of fundspecdata.io and its API (the "Service").

1. The Service

The Service provides financial data about publicly listed companies derived from public filings and market data, together with model outputs computed by us. Access is by API key under a plan described on the pricing page.

2. Accounts and keys

You are responsible for activity under your keys. Keep them confidential, do not share them between organisations, and revoke any key you believe is compromised. We may suspend keys that exceed their plan or that appear to be abused.

3. Licence

On the Sandbox and Developer plans you may use the data in your own systems and for your own analysis. On the Business plan you may also use the data within products and services you provide to others and display it to your users. On every plan, wherever the data is displayed to anyone other than you, the attribution "Data: FundSpec Data" with a link to fundspecdata.io is required. On every plan you may not resell, sublicense or redistribute the raw datasets as a data product, and you may not use the Service to build or operate a competing data API. All plans exclude systematic bulk extraction beyond the plan's bulk download feature.

4. Fees

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. You may change or cancel your plan at any time; changes take effect at the next billing date unless stated otherwise. Fees are non refundable except where required by law.

5. No investment advice

The Service is not operated by a broker, dealer or registered investment adviser. Nothing provided through it is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, and model outputs are statistical estimates, not predictions.

6. Warranty and liability

The Service is provided as is. We do not warrant that the data is complete, accurate or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the Service, including investment losses, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

7. Changes and termination

We may change these terms with notice on this page and by email to account holders; continued use after the effective date is acceptance. Either party may terminate at any time; on termination your keys stop working and any prepaid period is honoured.
